Message from Planet X is an installation in the form of an island (fabricated from hand painted paper), upon which “grows” an assemblage of over forty sculptures. Tamar refers to these as “life forms.” Her intent for them is to convey a fecund and complex environment, an ecosystem of many layers, reminiscent of a coral reef (or perhaps another planet). This visual representation of coexistence can be seen both literally and symbolically, from a microscopic to a geopolitical level.
